Eclipse?

Post by PeteC »

Are we having one as I write? Didn't read about it but the sun looks strange and my better half said she heard something is happening today? Pete

It's our annular partial eclipse we can see right now.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

was up Pala U at Barrys bar and all the girls in the adjoining shops ran out with sunglasses on. Had not got my shades so missed it. Anybody capture it on film?

It's one of the 66 "annular eclipses" that occur every century.

The Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, but does not fully eclipse it.

Cant see it from the UK  but good viewing from Africa and some southern Asian countries.

I saw the last full eclipse in Dawlish, Devon some years back.

Trully amazing. The temperature dropped dramatically, all the birds went to sleep and it went dark

dont know when the next one is. Maybe December 2012

The last full ecipse in Thailand was 1995, I was fortunatel to witness it. Same thing, all the birds landed in the trees and strted chirpin good night to each other.

The next full eclispse in Thailand will be 2070 - I have a felling that I will miss that one!
