Electric Bills Direct Debit
Electric Bills Direct Debit
Hi all, could anyone tell me if it is possible and if it is how to go about paying my electric bill by direct debit, I have to go away for 5 weeks and although my neighbour would do it if I asked, they have enough on their plate with a family and elderly parent to look after. I don't want to go away and have my meter removed because of non payment.
On the same side as Market village 125 mtrs further if you come from the city.. You find the electric company/Headoffice.. give them your bank account number and they fix it direct for you in the future !!!!!

Re: Electric Bills Direct Debit
I have mine with Kasikorn Bank and there is never a problem, but other posters on here have reported problems. It may take more than one payment cycle to get through the system, so I would advise that you try and have somebody check it the first time, if you are not going to be here.Gail wrote:Hi all, could anyone tell me if it is possible and if it is how to go about paying my electric bill by direct debit, I have to go away for 5 weeks and although my neighbour would do it if I asked, they have enough on their plate with a family and elderly parent to look after. May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
You will need your passport and a copy of your most recent bill along with a 2-part form from the bank with your banking info on it. Electric company will fill out their bits on both parts and keep one part. Take the other part back to your bank. My first debit took about 6 weeks but that was about 3 years ago, they may have improved things since.

Here's the 2-part form. We've always got the forms from the Elec company (maybe the banks have copies too) and after filling them in had to take both parts to the bank. The bank then sends the Elec companies part (For PEA) on to them thereafter for you.johnnyk wrote:You will need your passport and a copy of your most recent bill along with a 2-part form from the bank with your banking info on it. Sounds like there's other ways of doing it but the Elec company wouldn't take their half from us, saying it had to come from the banks!?!? TIT

Can't remember but may be worth taking along the Blue Book too!?
The bank employees that sit at the desks opening accounts etc process them for you so usually they check everything is ok, and most customers are up and running first bill, but some have taken months or several attempts, think mainly due to clerks not doing their jobs at one end or other.

SJ,
Yes, that's the form, well done to post it for people to see.
I may have mucked up the squence of events a bit as its a few years ago. I actually took mine along to the elec office and then brought it back to K-Bank (that way I knew it got done!).
The whole thing can be done in an hour or two.
Gail, don't be surprised if your very next bill isn't debited, it took until the next after that for me to have the system click on.
