Looking for Studio/Room with Kitchenette

Post by pharvey »

Heading to Hua Hin for a week or so and looking for double room/studio with basic cooking facilities - preferably central and reasonably priced (1500 Baht region). I was looking at the Amara Inn on Soi Maekeb, Petchkasem Road which looks fairly decent, but would appreciate any alternatives.

As some of you know I move back to HH tomorrow and initially I will be at Jings.

I am looking for a cheap condo with the basics (bedroom and bed, Living area with some furniture, shower and toilet and maybe a small kitchen with a fridge)

Have a couple lined up to view but would appreciate any input from local knowledge. Pricewise I have been quoted 3k/mth for out of town and 9k/month near market village.

This would be long term and enable me to split my time between HH and KK

Preferably not too far from town as well

No problem if they are not furnished. If they are cheap enough I can furnish

Hi Richard

I know you can get a 1 bed place in the area you describe and also Takiap for 8-12k. Put my uncle into a great place for 1Ok a month in Takiap but I know of nothing for 3k. Any information for future reference would be great.

 3k a month is a real bargain.
I'm jealous. I wish i had the connections/contacts to get a condo for 3k a month.

Ended up at Condo Chain 10k high season 8k low season) which is far enough out to keep me out of the bars and has a pool and is 70 metres from the beach. Ideal for a single guy. Well I am now six months of the year!!!

The cheap ones (3 to 4K) go pretty quickly to Thais and students and the facilities are spartan

I would highly recommend Sport Villa, which is 4km from downtown, 1km from Market Village and nearly opposite the new InterContinental (just before road bends off to Kao Takiap). Rooms there are 900 baht-1000 baht per night or 9000 baht/10,000 baht per month.

There are 2 swimming pools, fully equipped gym and full size snooker table amongst other things.

I got married in Hua-Hin 18 months ago and housed most of my friends and family there. I was so happy I ended up buying a place (which I am not explicitly marketing by the way)

Location is good. Price is excellent with partial sea views and mountain scenery.

If this floats your boat let me know and I can send you website info and photos etc.
