Off-Season Pool?

Post by PeteC »

What are we going to do between about April and August when IKTS is over, most of rugby is over etc? Anyone have any ideas for a pool in some other sport?

Having said that, anyone seen a site where we can set up a World Cup pool? If so, please set one up. Pete

I see there's Formula 1 on both rugby sites.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

That could be fun. We need Vital Spark to head that one up as she's really into F1 I think. Good to have a dominatrix run things once and awhile. :D Pete

There should be something for the World Cup even if it's a fantasy league where you pick your side and players get points depending on their performances.

There's bound to be something for the World Cup on either Sportsguru or Superbru sites - guru is SA based after all.

F1 sounds like a laugh - can't be far away from kicking off either.

I can find nothing. FIFA and ESPN say they have something but I can't find a working fantasy league or anything close on either. I'll keep looking. Perhaps there's some kind of restrictions due to advertising rights etc. :( Pete

Coincidentally, I've had an e-mail from Sport Guru today advertising the Indian Premier League, which is cricket I believe.

People with an existing Sport Guru profilecan sign up here http://sportguru.co.uk/sh/?k=spGihxQ9

First match is 12 Mar 10.

Personally, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes, than be involved in anything to do with cricket.

Yes, a bit much for me also. We could do American baseball but all of us would be making a dozen picks almost daily, also too much. Everyone please keep looking for a World Cup resource though. BB and BaaBaa, don't see you on F1 yet. :D Pete
