bicycle hire
Is there somewhere in Hua Hin that a decent bicycle can be hired for a day for the quieter roads? I know someone previously on the forum pined for bike lanes but that would be asking too much. I am willing to use all my senses and chance it.

Mountain bikes for hire are the same price as m/cycles in HH I'm affraid. Try 'HuaHin bike' up Petkasem Rd,same side as BKK bank, up a bit and just after the PTT petrol-station.
(Limited English spoken,but better calibre cycle to hire).
As for riding quiet roads...once you've crested the hill at the back 0 town on Soi 88 you've heaps of routes available.
Also try checkout the Hua-cha pedallers who meet and know the area well. I've heaps of maps but alas not in HH at the moment.
Check out also the area around Black Mtn.golf course..good 'little-road' network...(small compasses are 80baht outa day market).
