90 day reporting...new experience at Imm...

Post by hhfarang »

I went to Imm today for my 90 day report (1 day late, but they were closed yesterday) and instead of the usual form acceptance and tearing, stamping, folding, and stapling, the officer just threw the filled out form back at me without even looking at it and said "use it next time" and then proceeded to stamp a new date on the old form already stapled in my passport... didn't even open it and compare the forms to see if the address had changed or not, just stamped it with a new date 90 days from today and initialed it! Never had that happen before... :?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I've had almost the same experience this morning at Imm. No new form to be filled out for the 90 day report. The lady just looked at the report slip in my passport and stamped it for another 90 days.
Took all of 45 minutes from my home and back again. I got some smiles, hhfarang. I must be doing somethings right :D

I've started to take a box of Dunkin Donuts to my local office over here when I need to go. Police the world over love donuts! :D Seems to work as they smile and eat. Problem now is if I ever go in without them I may get beat up! Pete

Made my 90 day reporting today and the lady took my form and put the lower part into the passport instead of the old one, as usual. There seems to be another inconsistency: the date due was 12th of April, but she stamped not for 10th of July, but for 6th of July. But I remember, when I was nearly 1 week late another time, she calculated the date from the stamp and not from my visit to the office. So I lost some days, which is inconvenient for my yearly extension, when I normally do not require a fourth 90 day extension per year. She confirmed, that the 90 day reporting can be made 7 days before and 7 days after the stamped date.
