People used to sell off their buffalo herds with the introduction of the gasoline buffalo back in the 90's. I've read this has reversed since gas prices have climbed. Regardless, I would check your local slaughter house as sure some end up there on a regular basis. Pete

People farm water buffalo for meat now so there are plenty of them about and one of my partners family has about 40 of them.
Now if you wanted the horns attached to a live 'kwai' I think they go for about 4000 bt upwards depending on the size.
If you're serious, I'll be up in Issan in a couple of weeks and I'm sure the skulls are readily available as people often have them attached to posts and trees on farms.

I think maybe there's a zero missing from that figure as I really can't imagine a full grown one costing only 4000 baht. If I'm wrong then maybe my goat will be getting a new friend shortly....lol.

I think that's about what you pay for a calf, if that's what you call a baby kwai and a full grown one is 20,000 or so.
I wanted to buy one as a pet, but my partner thought I'd gone mad when I mentioned it to her.
