I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

It’s been one of the worst winters that I can remember here in scotland, had more snow a few days ago, ski slopes in Scotland have had one of the best seasons on record, I was up glenshee skiing the other day, had my kilt on and a wee dram to keep me warm but my thoughts kept returning to hh and the nice time that I had over the xmas/new year period, alas, winter still here and we're now into April - think winter never going to end.
I'm looking forward to my next trip to hh later this year, tried Bangkok the first few nights that I was in Thailand, prefer hh, it more relaxed and friendlier.
One of the downsides about staying in bonnie Scotland is we have less options for flights and they tend to be more expensive than down south.
I got to go now, kind regards to all

Re: Hello from Joe
Welcome Joe.
Re flights out of Scotland, you'll be hard pushed to beat Emirates out of Glasgow with a short stop in Dubai. If you're not already signed up to their newsletters (or any agent or broker), I'd recommend doing that so you can see any special offers when they come out. If you know when you're leaving and can book in advance you'll save a few quid when the deals arrive. And if you're lucky, you'll only have a few hours in Dubai airport - unless you want to use the free stopover to visit Dubai of course. If you're not staying and can only get the 7 hour layover at the cheap price, a lounge pass (for about £25 if I remember correctly), will give you unlimited food and alcohol, showering facilities, internet, peace and quiet and comfy chairs for up to 5 hours.
Emirates is a good service IMO. I've seen returns to BKK from GLA at £430, so happy hunting.

Brother, If you're looking for info & wisdom where your new addiction is concerned......You've found it.
I used this forum to study a place I thought would be a perfect place, before my first trip, and was welcomed like family.
So.
Welcome. n
