Missing the Bloomberg Business channel on TV (gone forever?)

Post by tonymaroni »

No Bloomberg Business Channel on the Hua Hin cable TV this week.
Is it gone forever?

Anybody doing online TV?
How are the results?

Thanks

Hope so... and hope they replace it with something less boring!

Yeah like the now ~24 hr Golf channel on 54. At least you used to be able to get some English movies occasionally before on 54.
The cable in HH is a disgrace! You can't even get to speak to someone when things either disappear or are scrambled for some unknown reason or in the case of Ch 44 changes mid sentence from BBC to France 24hr.
Try and get a program guide for Ch 60 Eurosports Asia. If you like curling, horse jumping, snow boarding, mountain bike competitions you will love their choices!

Agreed. Cable is terrible. Last year we were getting five movie channels in English and now we're down to one before about 9pm when cartoons finish and we get a second one.
I've heard lots of reasons for the frequent changes and I tend to believe that the channel simply steals stuff from satellite - until satellite realise what's going on and blocks the thieves.
The service isn't expensive - 300THB a month - but I did enjoy lying in the aircon bedroom mid afternoon and at nighttime watching some films and cooling down.
The service just winds me up now. I've been threatening to cancel my subscription, but the wife would kill me if she couldn't watch her soaps :banghead:

I'm getting ripped off as well then :banghead:
Think you can pay 750 every three months. I never look that far ahead.

Yes, that's what we do...so I guess they give a 150 baht discount for paying quarterly instead of monthly. When we signed up they never gave us a monthly payment option. I also just found out that you can pay TrueVisions semi-annually or annually (instead of monthly) and get good discounts as well (and they still have Bloomberg :neener: ).

Noted Bloomberg back this AM (although only 2/3 of the screen) Even noted 60 back with boring bike riding through the countryside. They may be stealing it from another satellite then. Still bloody golf on 54 ALL day!!!!!
Hua hin cable is starting to get like Spanish TV - hearing John Wayne speaking (dubbed in Spaish or Thai) in a falsetto is hillarious!

Someone told me you can buy a box from the cable company and get even more boring channels :-) anyone know anything about this?

I tend to watch repeats on channel 8 and the heineken cup rugby on eurovision, bbc news before it switches to French 24 with all their Irish presenters :-) channel 1 for the young one! channel 3 is all the g/f needs arghhhhhhhhhh

Looks like only two people on this forum seems to be upset at the loss of Bloomburg and Australia Tv from cable Tv. Or maybe like me they hadn't noticed. :)

Well when basically all we get is crap from the local cable, then it would be not hard to miss would it? It is hard for a Farang to watch because nothing is on.

I will subscribe to True because this is really the pits.
