Greetings From England.

Post by Ellycat »

Hi, I'm going to Hua Hin for the first time since 1987, so I'll expect huge changes.
I'm flying from Manchester to Bangkok in mid-June and I'm hoping I'll be able to find out some important information on this forum.

Welcome to the Forum Ellycat. As Hua Hin's foremost source of information, I'm sure you're in the right place.

I'm always interest in photos of old Hua Hin. It'd be great if you could post a few photos from your last visit.

The hotel was called 'The Jed Pee Nong' if my memory serves me correctly. Sorry they're only boring beach shots, but there wasn't much else to take snaps off, apart from the railway of course but I can't seem to find them..

Welcome to the forum. :thumb:

They're great photo's! I first went in 2000 and know the place has changed dramatically since then so you had better take a deep, deep breath!

Where was the 'welcome to Hua Hin beach' photo taken?

Hi, caller. Wow, we're talking nearly 23 years ago here, but I'm sure it was just outside the grounds of the Jed Pee Nong Hotel, which was near the beach and the railway station, if my 46 year old brain recalls. I can't believe I was only 23 in those snaps. People think I look younger now.

Could be the road to the Beach, as in the Sofitel would be just to the right. :?
