Hi Roel,
Guinness, Murphy's and Beamish Stout actually all originate from Ireland.
Guinness from Dublin; Murphy's and Beamish from Cork.
As people have said, there has been a distribution problem with Guinness in Thailand recently.
According to a forum on another site, it is still available in bkk though, at O'Reillys, Robin Hood and Hanrahans.
I spoke to Murph on the phone just now and there is no Guinness in HH, maybe not for the next year or so.
There's a possibility that Heineken may take over the distributorship (which sounds funny, considering they own Murphy's) but that it will then be considerably more expensive!!!
It's also possible that they will introduce draught Murphy's in the not too distant future.
El Murphy's is now stocking a new English draught stout called Dwyers, which isn't too bad according to Murph, but not the same as Guinness in his opinion (Murph is a real Guinness man).
By the way, I once had a pub/restaurant in you home country (in Vaals) where I sold a lot of Murphy's alongside the local Brandt beer - never any delivery problems
