Ladies & Gents,
I am staying at Sport Villa for 3 weeks and need to make some calls back to the UK without customers knowing I'm abroad.
I have given up on using Voiceover IP due to the unstable internet quality here in Thailand.
Basically, I'd like to hide the caller ID on my Nokia mobile handset.
However, when I turn off the Caller ID in thephone settings I cannot make any more outbound calls due to the error message: 'Check caller ID service'
the ubiquitous *67 before a call also doesn't work as you are greeted with the message: 'sorry, the number you have dialled is not allowed'.
Looking at a post on [deleted by moderator] an expat had the same problem with true move back in 2006 and at the time they told him that their systems did not support hiding caller ID.
Has anyone else had this same problem with their true move mobile?
Is there a solution for this network provider?
Cheers,
Peter

Re: Blocking Caller ID on truemove network
I remember this discussion going on in Pattaya year ago. None of the Thai providers let you hide your caller ID. The solution was to call your social benefits contact person or parole officer or customers through Skype. Apparently no (easy) way to trace the call, but I stand corrected. Good luck.

Excellent advice any chance of some more tips like types of jemmys glass cutters or any recommendations on burglary equipment. Maybe some tricks on opening BMW Ferraris etc what weapons to carry in armed robberies wouldn’t go amiss
If I sound sarcastic its probably because MY tax is going up paying social benefits and criminals to live here and my future state pension will be frozen

I do not live in Pattaya anymore otherwise I could have asked for you, but it must be possible to find that on the internet. With regard to car theft I remember that back home it was a popular method to get into a house only to look for the car keys. A survey showed that most people keep their car keys in their coats or at least somewhere in the hall way. Not many people take their car keys with them to the bedroom. Hope this helps. Good luck.
