Sorry guys not kept my eye on the ball.

The owner had to go to ozz for a few weeks, but no false alarm.

It will be open in the next couple of weeks as all the building work in nearly done.

I will of course let the forum know opening date.

Maybe do the trip in a tuk tuk.

Last I heard was that although he's able to open, he can only sell beer. Seems the Tessabahn knocked back his gogo licence due to the location of the bar. Heard this from a Cha Am resident. Any clarification?

Surely he got provisional approval for the licence before laying out cash on the place ?
Sounds like someone is laying the groundwork for a rather large 'drink' from the farang.
Sounds familiar ...........................

Let's hope it goes ahead.

I also heard this same rumour,

As far as i know all is going ahead as planned, and of course it will not be the first go-go bar in cha-am.

,
I heard it's a bit on the quiet side in Cha-Am right now.

Perhaps Cha-Am nightlife is back in Isaan visiting her octogenarian parents?

I agree farang, even during high season the bars in Cha Am are dire.
Hopefully this new place will give the place it a bit of a spark.

The chicken coop gogo (?!) is off the main drag though, tucked away in the plaza. Reason I heard he's been knocked back is due to the bus station soi location - lots of youngsters, families etc using the soi on a daily basis. Does sound kinda logical that they could knock him back using this reason.

Why he didn't sort all this out before he started the build is beyond me like - if he has been knocked back he either needs his head looked at or as the guys are saying, he's been turned over.

Good luck to him though, hope he gets things sorted out.

Hi Heebio

As i said i also heard this rumour but that seems all that it is.

I am told that in fact he already has the correct licenses and permits to run his new venture.

Remember he will only be open in the evenings long after the school kids on their day out have gone home.

The reason for the delay is due to illness in the family and i hope all is ok from that perspective.

Hope you're right Mike. Can you let the guys know if you hear when they're opening.

Cheers.

The guy is due back this saturday.

From what i have seen all the building work is done.

He just has to furnish the place and stock up.

I was told last night it will be open inside 2 weeks.

And he does have all the licenses required.

Mike.

Speaking to another long term Cha Am resident last night - local businessman. He was saying he was in the shop yesterday and was told it will be next month before it opens. He was of the opinion however that because of the location it's going to be a non starter. There's a lot of conflicting information here. I hope to hell it does open but seems to me that's pretty much up in the air. Here's hoping though.
