Definitely not boring - really!

Post by STEVE G »

Being stuck at work in Luxembourg, reading the Bangkok Post website I was a bit bemused to see this article:

Definitely not boring - really!
Belgium and Luxembourg are a little off the tourist trail, but well worth a visit

I'll wait for the swarms of Thai tourists and incidentally, in that picture my local pub is just behind that white building on the left by the river.

Don't want to put a downer on this but there might not be a Belgium in the future as that Flemish separatist party has just won the election. The rich Dutch speaking area of Flanders wants to break away from the French speaking Wallonia area. With a opposition party entrenched in the French speaking area then it doesn't bode well as almost everything is split along language lines.

Very picture perfect area though, ideal for your local mind you.

Why don't they all settle for English - its far more enlivening. I hope they don't have a hissy fit over the Beers, chockies and Moulles. I will be devastated.
Belgium - lovely people and beautiful scenery. Pity mak mak !!
