We can blame the ball
We can blame the ref
We can blame the manager
We can blame the overpaid prima donnas
We can blame Fifa

Or we can blame the lot

At the end of the day it's back to the drawing board to find a way forward for English football and it's approach to create a cohesive team as opposed to a bunch of self opinionated multi millionaire individuals IMO

Good evening HHAD friends & fellas!

England played well they had a cracker with a shot against them Crossbar & then went one feet over the Goalline but Three of the most important Men on the Pitch didn't saw it. I'd say tomatoes on their Eyes! History repeats itself now the In the second half of the match there where phases where The three lions squad played Germany against the Wall eager to make the equalizer but then the double counterstrike of the German "Jungen Wilden = Young Wilds" sealed Englands Departure from this World Cup. That was the highest margin of goals that the English squad lost against Germany!
Ohhh yeah as I German born Thai lived my Childhood, teenage years there I can say!!

England were shite as usual. Germany a class above, lovely passing, reminded me of the spurs :D

The media can now start to talk their usual shite anytime soon and the population can believe again 'England will win Euro 2012' :)

Did I hear the typical band of English no brain wallies booing the German national anthem? Disgrace

Probably another tournament where England will have to fly the flag for UK football :D

The truth is we were totally out classed in ze German game. Clinging on to some bad ref's decision like it would have made any real diffrence!
Germany would have just steppted up a gear and it would have ended up 5-2.

Lets face it we were lucky to qualify for the last 16 at all... :|

We have played no better than France or Italy and should have probably gone home in the group stages to have saved further embarrassment...

But no we clung on like a dying cat next to a nice plate of fresh fish with a clawed win over that world class team Slovenia In the vein hope that Rooney would suddenly become Messi like and Gerrard would morph into Teves. Yea right...

For the next world cup I want Homer simpson as manager and the likes of Bungle and Mr Bean on the wings.
In defence I would select Basil Faulty and with David Mellor in goal we would have half a chance of beating ze Germans.

Lets face it we can't do any worse...

I'm afraid that I have to disagree. The England team had to claw back equality from the jaws of defeat. They were just starting to take charge when the referee cocked up, Had that goal been allowed, who knows what would have happened? The Germans would certainly have been shaken. England would certainly not have had everybody in the German's half, allowing the quick counter-attack.

However, as you've said - it's all over now for another four years.

I don't know what England's procedures are, or any national team's procedures for that matter. I feel though that if you're honoured enough to be appointed to your National team, you have to be willing to sweat blood to make the team good, no matter what other club is paying you your millions.

This means full team practice weekly throughout year, and some kind of practice matches either team 1 against team 2 or some kind of serious rivalry every fortnight, minimum.

Not knowing for sure but I'll say it appears Germany already does something like this and England doesn't. I'm willing to bet the South American and African teams already do as well. Pete

I wonder what the collective IQ was..... the usual disgraceful behaviour's never far away with these mindless tw@ts :cuss: :cuss:

It's an unfortunate truth, but can't say the German lad was too bright being there in the first place

''English fans confronted and surrounded a lone, bare-chested German supporter amid bitter scenes in Leicester Square.

The man was pushed and elbowed as he tried to find his way through the crowd. Other England fans turned over bins and burned Germany flags as dozens of police officers stood guard.''

My thoughts too Pete

A potential squad should train together every few weeks throughout the year but how that would fit into their timetable I do not know. England players are well and truly gelled with there club teams and not with an England team.

I also think technology should be introduced. FIFA are arrogant, greedy and ignorant. Not that technology would have necessarily have reversed the result yesterday but who knows? A disallowed goal can certainly affect the moral of a team and the boost of that goal may have fired England up. Roll on 2014

I've come up with another approach since this morning. Forget about Premiere League players completely. Go to the PL academies and select some of the top 17-20 year old's and put them together as a team with practice and game schedules as I've indicated in the above post.

Come World Cup time and other National Team matches they'll shine IMO regardless if they've never played a minute in the PL. They'll put the veterans to shame. :D 8) :thumb: Pete

I'm not the biggest fan of football, and basically know jack sh*t about it - so if any comments offend, appologies in advance, just my thoughts as an observer....

Do any of the players actually give a flying sh*te about playing for the English team? It appears the number 1 priority is money/fame through their respective clubs. Willing to train with England throughout the year......... IMHO I think there would only be a few of the current crop. Perhaps bring in others with a bit more hunger, passion and patriotism - and a little less of the prima donna about them.

The football clubs themselves are businesses, so rather than blooding new players, will go for existing/proven players in the top leagues - the ultimate goal for top clubs to win honours, the majority of other clubs to remain in the Premiership and keep the cash rolling in.

Having the clubs release players for training throughout the year - Bob Hope and no hope I would think.
