Hello All!
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I am planning on moving to Thailand permanently in about 2 years. I have spent some amount of time in Thailand (Central plains, Northwest, and Rayong area).
I will be visiting Phuket in a couple of months, but from what I've seen and heard, I'm strongly leaning towards Hua Hin.
I've spent a few days looking at your forum and it seems to have a wide range of experience and interests.
I am looking forward to spending some time on these boards.
Regards.
Rick

SAWADDEE,
I've visited HH forthe first time in JANUARY OF 2005 with my wife, who just happens to be Thai - Chinese. When we visited we visited with friends from BANGKOK. I enjoyed the place . Can we say I enjoyed it more than Cha Am. Don't get me wrong, Cha Am was nice, but I fell in love with HH and the friendliness of the people especially the young lady I market at the night market. This young lady was too polite. Everyone in HH seemed to not have a worry.
I will be returning to HH next year along with my wife and mother and god-mother and a few friends from the states here in California and our friends in Bangkok.
I always talk about how nice and peaceful HH is to my friends, now they would like to visit a well. You know you do get the well, why not go to Phuket and I always say, Phuket is too commercialized and Pattaya is just not clean enough.
The next move should be to Koh Chang, which is rapidly expanding to becoming the next destination spot in Thailand.

Welcome to the forum, nice to meet another compatriot. If you've never been to Thailand before, be sure to find out about the country and its customs as much as possible before you arrive.I´m 22 year old student from Finland.

Imm, please post about your plans, because my plans are same as you. I didn't read this topic before I replied to your other topic, sooo... you are going there anyway.
Stamford looks good, but I haven't been there inside. The place is nice; middle of golf course, about 10 mins from HH centre.
I got bad luck with another school in Thailand, but I am still planning to choose another one, because life in Thailand is way different than in Finland, but still not too difficult, if you know what I mean.
Welcome to the forum, I am new here also.
I look forward reading more of your posts.
Palataan astialle.

Hi all!
I'm quite new user this forum (joined 5.1.06)
I'm 25 year old plastics mechanic from Finland. I'm fanatical ice-hockey supporter and besides British football.
Ice-hockey and British football is more than life.
I was first time in Thailand last december. I was in Hua Hin and like this city I come to again HH summer. People in HH is very nice and friendly.
When you come to Thailand first time after that you come second, third once... I agree this.

Hi Everybody. I`m New
Believe it or not but this is the first time I have ever written to a "Chat Room".
Having read through some of the earlier Topics I confess to being a bit concerned about our visit in early May, my friend and I are going to play some golf and the wives are just going to chill out.
Unfortunately you do not paint a very good picture of Hua Hin what with the dogs and the sewers and the police and the lack of this and that, surely it cannot be that bad, if so what are you all still doing there ??
How about some positive vibes lads.
If you are interested the average Council Tax has just gone up to £1357:00 per year and Gas prices have had a 3rd rise since January.
Guess who`s just put in a Gas Fire ??
Many thanks
