Need to rent a house for 1 years from Oct 1

Post by Nille »

We will move to Hua Hin on October 1 and are looking for a house to rent. Understand they are plenty. However, its not as easy to locate them :?

So if any of you can hint me where to go loking for this it would be much appreciated! PM is fine.

Budget: 15,000 to 25,000 thb per month
We can sign for 1 year and pay deposit

We need:
Minimum 3 beedrooms
Kitchen
>100 m2
Within 10 km from HH city
No extras on utility charges

Great if there is a pool in the area (walking distance).

I could concider renting a car if available. In any case we will need parking.

About us: we are a family of 5. I am Swedish (45) and my wife is Thai (35). Our kids are 5, 7, & 8. We now stay in Sweden but used to live in Bangkok between 96 and 07. I am in the internet marketing industry (google) and my wife is studying on her master degree.

Anyone?

There are several options all with differing pros and cons:

Holiday Rentals: http://property.huahinafterdark.com/pro ... pe=H&for=R
Most luxurious with services and amenities catered for in many cases - also the most expensive though.

Classifieds: http://www.classifiedshuahin.com/index.php?catid=10
Listed by private owners direct so take your pick, better for long term - mid-range prices.

Find Your Own: http://expathuahin.com/renting-huahin.php
Some great bargains can be found but its a lot of legwork.

You'll probably also get a bunch of PMs from owners who refuse to use one of the above services for whatever reason!

There are probably way over a hundred available in Hua Hin, and I strongly advise you to come here first and look around until you see what is on offer.

Prices are very much negotiable and rental agencies appear to want way over what a private rental would require - up to you.

I will stay in a friends condo while looking at the objects. It would be great if I could shportlist a few until then. I will only rent at local market prices.

For 25,000 you'll get your own pool.

Also, the problem with "shortlisting" a few houses is that they're unlikely to hold them for you until October so you can stop by to see them. Maybe if you do this closer to October.

Hi Nille,

I think it would be easiest to spend a week or so when you first get to HH to shortlist some places. That way you can see them when you make the list and availability will be easier to assess.

En gång expat, alltid expat!

Lycka till. Jag hör av mig och bjuder på en öl när jag
