All four local noodle stalls seem to have gone missing from my neighbourhood.....bad news for me as yellow wonton noodles are my staple diet. One I could understand....but four?
Maybe the wicked Shithouse Door Thief of Old Hua Hin Town has branched out?

perhaps it's time for them to start another lucrative business opportunities and don't wanna do Noodle Stalls no more! Ok 1 or 2 disappearing you could call it normal but 4! Hmmm...?.

Mrs Sarges business making and selling pork scratchings Nahm sweet pork and other sundries to said noodle stores has just about stopped it started at least 10 month ago with a steady decrease in the size of orders then about four months ago the noodle stalls started to disapear from All over Hua Hin right up to Suan Son
The reason aparently is the Bangokians are not coming in the same numbers and those that are are not spending and a lot of those noodle stalls need the weekend trade to survive
I fear the foreign tourist trade will be a similar story this high season but it will be talked up with hyper BS
just keep an eye on the UK news and you should find out what is really happening here
Yeah I could go with that Sarge but the ones near my soi are all "local" ones for the neighbourhood half way down the Klong road.....
maybe it is fiendish metal thieves as suggested by US..... the buggers swiped the manhole covers out of teh soi a few weeks back...and noodle stalls are on wheels.
I just thought maybe the local authorities had conducted some form of noodle purge.

Yes SM i live a bit further north on klong road than you and those stalls were Mrs Sarges customers
JG The traffic seems as bad but what it seems and what is fact are two different things but even if its still the same, Suan Son car park at weekends is nearly empty and as i said it doesnt mean that they are spending as much those that do come
with so many out of work in the building industry one should expect to see more small stalls opening not more closing if the BKK mob were still in the same numbers and still spending
a lot of Thais have gone back up north its cheaper to live up there which also means less local custom
remember the difference between a living and a loss is only about 250 baht profit a day to these poor people
