Property developer bankruptcy
Property developer bankruptcy
I have a house on a recently completed development, a sister development to, shall we call it King Arthur`s court. The developer and its subsidiary management company have filed for bankruptcy which has meant that all fees prepaid for 2010 are probably lost. Can we householders claim anything from the assets of these companies or do you think the "toy car" man will have been too clever to leave any assets lying around. Sorry for the cloak and dagger approach but I believe HHAD has had trouble in the past with this developer.

Guys, rather than risk this thread being locked because your encoding is easily cracked, can I suggest that you converse by PM. The Forum's T&Cs are very clear in what you can and cannot say.

Re: Thai bankruptcy
I cannot understand that if a developer has filed for bankruptcy. Especially if as has been implied it is a European developer who has possibly got customers who read this forum. Why does this news story have to be reported in code

no more dePreston

Not too difficult to work out. Do an internet search and it seems pretty obvious who IMO the OP is referring to.
Re: Thai bankruptcy
If it's true and common knowledge that is already in the public domain and accessable easily through a Google search then there's no need to be coded or 'cloak and dagger' about it so long as that is what you stick to, ie known facts, speculation/conjecture and hearsay usually begin problems. This is not the case with all subjects here but with this one then it probably is the case. However, the moderator's comment does air on the wise side, as usual.

There is some serious 'sh*t' going on down in Hua Hin at the moment. I would watch the Andrew Drummond webpages in the next week or so.
Re: Property developer bankruptcy
If you could reference an external source (i.e. news article) it should allow for more details to be discussed.

Little bit lost here. The owner is loaded. Where has he filed for bankruptcy?Arcadian wrote:I have a house on a recently completed development, a sister development to, shall we call it King Arthur`s court. I noted too that Siam Property have done a midnight flit or vanishing act or simply have moved without a forwarding address. Maybe Merlin was there too?

That's why i only buy already built homes or lands from particulars and never from projects. Too risky.

FOOTNOTE: Hua Hin After Dark
Many thanks to the posters on the Hua Hin After Dark forum who are very supportive, as in this:
“Andrew Drummond’s site is a good source for exposing evil in this town and Thailand” and this
” I agree, he is a first rate investigative journalist”.
However they were quickly followed by this from the Forum administrator: “For the record:
Drummond openly accused this website of being involved in an attempted murder simply because of one of its advertisers and a vague similarity in their color schemes. He made no attempt to contact HHAD’s owners for their input into the story but drew and published his own conclusions - that is poor journalism in any ones book.
The forum must protect itself from legal action and threats by Hua Hin’s property developers including the one involved in the incident above as he too threatened the site and its owners financially and personally as have a number of others, including the one you refer to in this ‘week’s thread’.
Good heavens -The ‘Forum Administrator’ has just made it up! :-)
If the bold ‘For the record’ emphasises the truth in what the Forum Administrator is saying readers should go here and read the comments at the end to see exactly what I said. Which, to precis, is that the forum administrator is in ‘cloud, cuckoo, land’ and a bit of a bed-wetter. Nothing anywhere of accusing him of attempted murder or any property developer’s colour scheme.
So of course why should I contact the forum’s administrator’s?
To my Hua Hin friend Andrew: -Sorry you got banned from HHAD for trying to advise the relatives of a British murder victim - that I was the person to come to to ensure things went right and that his wife and brother in law, now charged with his murder, won’t just run off with everything after doing a token sentence.

Well done Tarakandi and if that gets me banned then so be it.
