I suggest you ask Black Mountain as they rent out good quality clubs, as yours seem to be.

Burks,
the cost of club hire at is Dhanarat was 400bht, but even in my unskilled hand they felt really really bad, at Milford they wanted 500bht and at the Banyan they want 1000bht. There are a couple of bar owners which I found out hire clubs out at 400bht a day.
Bumpted into a friend and he has lent me his spare's foc  .

For such a good clubs you could get maybe 750 bahts per day. You should have the specs if anyone ask for them, in 15 min you can have them for less than 100 bahts in any shop with fitting machines.

For over 95% of players you only need to know the Make type, whether the shaft is steel or graphite and if, Stiff, Regular or Senior. That is more than enough information for even the better than average golfer, and is readily available on the shaft itself.

I don't really want to sell the clubs (yet), just put them to use, 500 baht a round sounds ok - is it common to take a deposit?

No idea on specs, they are regular graphite shafted irons, LW, UW, SW, PW, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3. With a 4 wood, R7 regular shaft 9.5 degree driver, and Ping putter.

Note: the blurb is bs, I couldn't hit the freakin ball with them!

You should take a deposit, graphite irons are very fragile, i've broke 2 sets of them. I only use steel, if you have super light steel shafts it's the same but without the fear of break them. It's also super expensive.

Buksi those clubs are perfect and well worth bht500 a round. The graphite shafts are fine I have used various types for 20 years and never heard of a breakage in normal use.

As to a deposit my answer would be most definitely yes, if the rental is not to persons known to you or your friends, but how much I do not know.

Johan as you have broken 2 sets of Graphite shaft clubs you must hit the ball (or ground) very hard. What is your handicap?

Not sure if this has been asked in this thread, but there are 39 pages and CBA going through all of them. I am in Hua Hin in December and may have a game whilst I am there. I play regularly at home off 5 Hcp. Best place to Go/book? Can I rent clubs at the course? And are there regulars on here that will be there at the same time who fancy a game?

P.S Johan, how the hell have you broken 2 sets of Graphites? Must be an angry golfer :banghead:

It's not often that Pirates, Landrovers, North Devon and Bunker shots come up in the same News article :?

As a member of RND I am pleased to see that they avoided the green.

Played the new army course called sea pines 3 times last week. Will be in my opinion the best course in hua hin when completed. Very tough from either the back or next tees. Met the designer who also designed sawang and narai hills. 800bht and 250 caddie till the end of the year.
Im sure there are a few courses near by that will be misssing a lot of green fees as this course equals and even surpasses in some areas.
Also being so close to the town makes it very easy to get to.
A great addition to the golfing scene in hua hin and might make some of the other course managers revise the ridiculous prices they are charging during the so called " high season".
