Can I say a few thanks for those who helped my OTT promotion celebrations last saturday night?
Special thanks to the guys in Head Rock for the "champagne"; shame it didnt fizz, but it was a great gesture. Special thanks to anyone who I spoke to in the Hilton, especially anyone who helped convince my wife it was the first time I'd been there. Special thanks to Anthony, though I'm told he doesnt remember, for giving an inspired rendition on Lyin' Eyes in the karaoke bar. Special thanks to the maids in the Thipurai for not waking me up before 11:30 and for not being around when the mrs went for a pee, got the wrong door and couldnt wake me up to get back in again. Special thanks to Charlie for letting me twist his arm so hard that he had to stay drinking with us all night.
And sorry to anyone I met on the night - it's the first time in 135 years and I was pissed.
