There is a British TV series of the same name that plays here every so often on the True EXP 2 channel. Very interesting indeed and worth watching. Below is a write up. Pete

Thanks Pete  Did a quick search and found the 1st series on Vuze to download - actually from the BBC in 2008. Looking forward to having a look - certainly sounds interesting :D

I walked the length of Chesil beach (one of the pics) in my youth, damn nearly killed me.

The beach is made solely from pebbles, and the sea has graded them over the years. Large, about 3inches-6inches, near Portland and small, about 1/2 inch, the nearer to Bridport you get. I would have a job to walk across the beach now, let alone walk the length.

We will be visiting the beach again during the Olympic sailing events in 2010, as the beach is next to the sailing club and a good place to sit and watch the races.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

It's been about a year since I've seen it Pharvey but if I have the correct show in mind, you may be surprised to see that London gets much of it's electricity during peak hours from the French power station at Calais. That really surprised me. The peak hours seem to be when all the Londoners turn on their tea kettles at about 2000 hours each evening. :D Pete
