Survival Kit

Post by PeteC »

Here is the Red Cross kit for the flood victims. I could live on what's in there but I doubt many westerners could for long. Just the lack of toilet paper may have women committing suicide en masse. I am surprised to see salt instead of a small bottle of fish sauce. All in all though, I think a well thought out kit. Any other suggestions? Pete

A bottle of vodka and some Tang... :D

Seriously though, maybe toilet paper comes under the "various toiletries", and I would add a battery operated or preferably self generating (with a crank) AM radio to listen to weather and emergency reports.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Lighter but no cigs...

Seriously it seems fine except I'm surprised there are so many packs of instant noodles. OK it's an emergency - needs must etc - but wasn't there something a while back about kids eating instant noodles straight from the pack and it not being very healthy?

Still, a lot of those people are lucky to be alive and it's good to see something being done to help them.
