Anyway, I'm unclear on the concept of an own goal. Is any goal where the ball last touched a player of the team who's goal it is considered an own goal? For example, a defensive player who isn't the goalie deflects a sure goal into the back of a defenseman and the ball rebounds into the goal. Or is it an own goal, but one with no shame attached?
I hesitate to ask this question on a forum where there are so many Brits ... but here goes. What league consistently has the highest quality matches?
Finally, wouldn't the game be much better if the defensive side had to send a player out every time the ball passed the center circle onto their side of the field, with the player coming back in when the ball returned to the other half of the field, so it was always 11 offensive players against 10 defenders?

Well, not being a devout supporter or master of ''Wendyball'', I may have a couple of points wrong but........
1. An own goal in the strictest sense of the word would surely be if it last touched a defending player (with the exception of the goal keeper unsuccessfully attempting a save). Of course the spoilt, overpaid, pompous little sh*te taking a shot and having it deflect off a defending player would obviously claim the goal as his own in order to keep up his goal bonus and avoid his perceived poverty line of 100K a week.
2. A strange question indeed considering the existence of the ''Teejac Gwynedd League''!! Who could possibly forget such classic confrontations such as Holyhead Hotspur vs Llanfairfechan
OR Llanystumdwy vs Gwaichmai??? Unforgettable!!
3. I'll leave that one to others...... probably couldn't make it much worse!
