Tattoo and Buddhism

Post by Jimbob »

I have noticed some bar girls with five parallel tattoo lines or 'stripes' on the back of the shoulder. When I asked them about them they say ' its for Buddha'.
What is the meaning of these lines? :?

You can find out anything on the net!

Apparently the first row prevents punishment in court cases and cleans and protects your abode. The second line reverses bad horoscope constellations and bad Karma, the third row protects against black magic and curses and the fourth line is for luck and fortune, and success in one’s projects. The fifth and last row is an attraction charm to make you attractive and loveable, and also boosts the luck and fortune already laid out in the 4th row kata, and prevents curses as in the 3rd row kata.

It's a very popular protection tattoo, used by many. I think it's Khmer in origin.
