Waves are up!

Post by tonymaroni »

Noticed the waves are up as of late. 8)
Looks pretty small, not really ride able. Biggest I've seen here though.
Has anybody seen or know of a ride able body board wave break?
Any secret wave breaks in the HH vicinity?

Aloha

Down Bang Saphan is the closest place you can pick up the odd decent wave. Anywhere north of there it's just wind slop.
The other side of the gulf has some good spots Phuket included.

About 3 hours drive to B.S. The points on the headland just east of the main town work on a monsoon swell. Told waves up to 1.5 meters on the rare good day.

Yes, you can get good breaks there at this time of year however the north end of the bay is populated by mussel farmers so not suitable for swimming/surfing/boardriding.

The entire beach is engulfed during these months, here are some shots I took last year: http://bangsaphanguide.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=1&t=204
