Post by barrys »

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement air pump locally for a bathroom jacuzzi?

Just bumping this in the hope that someone, somewhere might know where I can get one??!!

I though I'd try Homepro because they do sell the jacuzzis.
Despite being surrounded by around 10 staff and explaining what I wanted, they had absolutely no idea.

So if you buy a jacuzzi from them and the air pump gives up, you're sought of f...ed

I've had zero luck here with HomePro on returns or repairs and the staff no very little in general about their products.

For repairs, I've had much better results by going straight to the manufacturer's representative (Canon and Samsung).

What company made your jacuzzi? Maybe you could contact them.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Do you know what is wrong with it, Barry? I am not familar with exactly what you are talking about, but in other applications air pumps are not very complicated devices. If the motor is burnt out it should not cost very much to rewind it, or maybe a seal or a hose has failed?

Thanks for the tips Nereus - the problem is that the jacuzzi has been in storage for a long time and the air pump was previously taken for repair/maintenance and has since disappeared/walked  :banghead:

So I really need to buy a replacement one. :?

Oh, sh--t! I know a bloke in Pattaya that similar thing happen to: sent the V8 engine out of his car to Bangkok a long time ago to have work done on it, still waiting for it to come back!

If you can find out just what sort of volume and pressure that is required, you can should be able to replace it with an alternative, probably cheaper as well.

Hi Nereus

I got onto the company you suggested. They're near BKK and it appears they can supply me with a suitable pump which they will send me by courier.

Thanks a million for your great help

You're welcome. I have had a look in their shop in Bangkok some time ago. May be worth checking if anybody needs pool parts.
