Extending Non-Imm O Visa ( for retirement )

Post by PET »

I am aware of what documentation you need but need clarification on one point.

You need to show a rental contract or a copy of the Yellow Book, but what do you require to produce if you have purchased the house in your wife or partners sole name, and she has the Blue Book ?

The "Blue Book" is not in anybodies name, just has the names of (Thais) who are using that as their address. Or do you mean she has run off with the book?

The Blue Book mentions her name as the owner, as it is her only house.
My question is what immigration will want from me to extend my Imm ''O'' visa for retirement purposes ? Can I get a Yellow Book for instance?

Just take the Blue Book with you, along with a copy, and enter your address on the form the same as it is in the book. Her name in the Blue Book does not mean that she owns the house, simply that she lives there, ie., it is her registered address.

Yes, you can get a Yellow book, but it is an entirely different issue, and is NOT required for a visa extension.
