Should 'Hidden' be banned?

Post by Spitfire »

Put this in "Foo" as it doesn't qualify as a "Suggestion", more a fun question.

Can't help noticing that the "Hidden" brigade numbers are rising.

Why the paranoia?

Personally, I think it (Hidden) should be banned. If you haven't got the sand to have your name up on the "Who's online" section, then it's gay.

What? Do you think we don't know you're online when one of your posts turns up suddenly?

Counter productive really IMO. It's an admittance that you've got issues or have been got to by the "collective", inside or outside the forum.

Added a poll for everyone, vote by all mean, but post if you can.

'Don't care'.

Quite frankly, SF, I'd never really noticed it until you pointed it out. I guess every hidden person has different reasons why they don't want anyone to know that they're looking at the site including:
1. They don't want people to think they're addicted to HHAD
2. They don't want to reply to a PM, so they pretend that they haven't looked at the site for days.
3. They want to monitor something they've posted.
4. They're shy.
5. They're spying - a good topic for a new conspiracy thread.

Each to their own I say.

I voted 'don't care' cos I don't care. If people want to hide so be it. We are all entitle to chose our preference. I personally believe in coming out in the open up front :thumb:

I voted no as I am "hidden".

The main reason I started doing it is that I usually leave my computer on all day (16 hours) and stay signed on to HHAD so that any time I walk by I can read any posts that may interest me and comment if I choose. I felt that if I wasn't hidden people may expect a rapid answer to a post or PM directed to me when in reality, I may not come back to the computer for many hours.

So some, like me, may have valid reasons for being hidden...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
