Sadly that's a 'no' Jimmy. In fact I think home brewing is illegal in Thailand.

A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.

You're correct. I once asked my wife why nobody seems to make their own beer or cider and she said it's because you'll get locked up if they catch you. Of course many Thais do make their own rice whiskey, but as far as the law is concerned, it's illegal.margaretcarnes wrote:Sadly that's a 'no' Jimmy. BTW Jimmy, where did you find the yeast, and is it brewers yeast? I need some for making pineapple cider

Don't try to impress me with your manner of dress cos a monkey himself is a monkey no less - cold fact

That's too bad too! I used to brew my own for fun when I was younger back in the U.S. and came up with some tasty results... however, I exploded a few bottles, making a big mess in my house, a couple of times too!
You can always come up with parts and ingredients to make your own beer anywhere in the world as I also did that in Saudi Arabia, but then it will not taste as good as the cheapest local brew here so it is not worth the effort. We only did it in K.S.A. out of necessity and once you got used to the flavor (with nothing to compare it to) it seemed good... same with wine.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Hi Takiap, I found the yeast at Villa market, its dry bakers yeast. It should still work, as said above it looks like its illegal to make your own
I won't tell if you don't

Re: Home brew supplies
Baker's yeast does work... that's what we used in Saudi.
