Yes, thanks JD! This is the holiday that I miss being back in the states the most. As we grow up and go our individual ways many of us don't see our Families often and Thanksgiving is the holiday when my entire family made an effort to get together at least once a year.
I was often introduced to new nephews/nieces (or great nephews/nieces) on this holiday as I had not seen the majority of the family since the previous year.
It was also the day when I started to put on my "winter coat"!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
Tacking this on to last year's thread as what was said then also applies now. Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow to all the Americans on here. A non-event here really but brings back fond memories for many of us of the Thanksgivings we celebrated in the States in the past.
You can now make it what you want here though. Thankful that we're here in this Kingdom, thankful that JD's HHHB has all the food you will need to prepare any feast, and that American football is on ASN. Pete

When I was a small boy in Britain which was at that time a much more Christian Country than it is today, one of the most colourful Sundays was Harvest Thanksgiving--which was the inspiration for US T'giving.
The churches would be filled with wheat, vegatables and fruit and we celebrated that the lord had provided for us---"We plough the fields and scatter the good seed on the land, but it is fed and watered by God's almighty and" we sang.

Happy Turkey Day to everyone too. I miss this holiday since I've been in England for the past 3 years.
