Palm Bistro - Awesome food!

Post by JW »

For all food lovers a new restaurant has opened and the food is fantastic. The sunday roast dinner is a must, on sunday I had the beef/lamb duo - beautifully cooked meat, veg perfectly done, and great spuds and yorkshire pud. Homemade pate is superb.
Fish and Chips is great to.
Head chef is from Uk and has a real passion for food, if you like great food its a must. Go into soi 88, cross the railway line and turn right, follow road and signs for about 5km and you will find it! And no its not my restaurant! Enjoy.

JW, I agree! We've been there twice already, although not for the Sunday lunch which looks great according to the menu. We will do that soon. A little out of the way and you have to watch for the signs not to miss it, but well worth the 10 minute trip out Soi 88! Great beer selection too... I had a VB and a Paulaner Dunkel there.

If the road turns to dirt, you just passed the turn to the left you should have taken. Restaurant is 1km farther, in a housing development.

Located in Orchid Palm Homes 4 housing estate in the front and next to road. Three houses up the road from where we live and we are very fortunate to have it here. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sure nice to dine in a great quiet atmosphere with excellent food.

I looked at the homes... some of the best construction and finish quality I've seen here too.

Just follow 88 over the top of the mountain and down into the valley beyond. Look for signs for the left turn to Palm Bistro and Wine Bar or Orchid Palm Homes.

I visited the Palm Bistro and got this information:

Palm Bistro kitchen is open for
breakfast 08.30 – 10.30,
lunch 12.00 – 15.00,
dinner 17.30 – 21.00.
They close at 22.00 hrs and are closed on Mondays.
Sunday roast is 15.00 – 18.00.

Restaurant is open for drinks all the time. The beer selection and menu is impressive and the price seemed very decent. Environment is very cosy and clean.

Finally I find a restaurant that serves first class European/Thai food and the best Sunday lunch ever! 240bht for 2 meats, home made yorkshire puddings and vegetables served nicely with a cold class of my favourite Proseco!!! Unfortunately I only have 4 more weeks to make the most of it!):

Highly recommend the ambience and service there too.

Great to find an out of town restaurant of this superb standard at sensible prices, no traffic and no parking problems, this will become a regular night out and Sunday lunchtime venue.
