Yup, the guy is now on board, and judging by his English, it has been long planned. No real surprise there. Some commentators even a few days ago were saying he doesn't speak a word.

He's got all the right pedigrees, euro cup winner as a player and coach and a student of the English game, lets just hope he can put all that to good use.

Even Gerrard has welcomed his arrival and praised him - maybe he's after a move from the scousers to the Blues (again)? :thumb:

Usual thing that gets me on my soapbox every season - too many fringe Man U players. They deserved to come second, and I still maintain they should be fined for charging full admission for fielding a second rate team.

Having said that - full marks to Leeds for taking advantage of the situation.

I'm now suffering an Arsenal side with a few players fresh from the womb :cuss:
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Where is BaaBaa when you need a little Liverpool therapy? The one thing in Benitez's favour tonight was the fact he had fielded a strong side. Where are Liverpool going now:

- Champions League? - No

- Premiership? - No

- League Cup? - No

- FA Cup? - No

- Losers Cup? - Maybe :?

Liverpool are fast running out of options for playing in Europe next season. No Europe will certainly see the likes of Gerrard and Torres packing their bags - they're too good for just domestic football.

Next season, they must be looking like an average Premiership side with their income significantly cut. Lean times ahead I fear.

From a personal point of view, I thought it was an excellent result. Reading are also fighting for Championship survival with Plymouth. Let Reading tire themselves out and picking up injuries and bookings chasing glory in a competition they ain't going to win.

Well, the news is just in that Ballack is out of the World Cup, because of the 'savage challenge' (ITV commentator) by Boateng - the guy that missed the penalty.

This was just retaliation for an incident a couple of minutes earlier and he should have been sent off for the challenge. You could see the damage it did immediately. Hope the guy is proud of himself.

If he does face Germany for Ghana, as is a possibility, I'm sure the Germans will deal out appropriate retribution.
