Here is a schedule of birthday events for those who find themselves in Bangkok during the coming days. Pete :cheers:

Sunday

10.30am: Their Majesties the King and Queen will grant a public audience at the Amarin Winitchai Throne Hall

5.30pm: Performances to begin at the stage set up in the Chao Phraya River

6pm: A light-and-sound show in front of Siriraj Hospital

6.30pm: A boat procession to sail down the Chao Phraya

7.15pm: Second performance on the Chao Phraya stage

7.29pm: A candlelit celebration to kick off nationwide, with Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva presiding over a ceremony outside Supreme Court

8.19pm: A procession of boats with loyal subjects holding up lit candles to sail down the Chao Phraya past Siriraj Hospital

From Saturday to Monday

Exhibition in honour of His Majesty, books for the public to sign their best wishes for HM, a fair selling handicrafts from each of Bangkok's 50 districts, performances and fireworks

Venue: In front of BMA headquarters

From now until Monday

Exhibition honouring HM's work for his people, floating market in Padung Krung Kasem Canal, vocational training and fairs.

Venue: Luk Luang Road (next to the Education Ministry)

Until Thursday

Photo exhibition displaying His Majesty's talents and work

There are many events in celebration of His Majesty the King's birthday. Here's just a few of them:

-There will be a procession of some 600 illuminated boats tomorrow from 6 to 8.30pm, starting from the Somdej Phra Pinklao Bridge and down the Chao Phraya to the Royal Navy headquarters.

-Somtow Sucharitkul conducts the "mahajanaka International Opera Gala" in CentralWorld's Lan Square tomorrow at 6. Admission is free. Call (083) 915 0751 and (02) 635 1111.

-"Photos Near the Father's Home on Rajavithee Road", an exhibition put on by the Energy Ministry and the Contemporary photography Foundation of Thailand, is along the road outside Chitralada Palace until Thursday.

-Works featuring His Majesty the King by members of the National Artists Club of Thailand are on display in the lobby of the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel until December 15. Call (02) 131 1111.

-Nation Multimedia Group sponsors the 4D exhibition "Well Being Under the Guidance of His Majesty" at Siam Paragon through Monday. The exhibition is also at Paradise Park until December 12.

-The Aksara Theatre in the King Power Complex will screen "Pandin Kong Rao" and "rajprachanukroh" at 9.30am today, followed by the music video, "Raja Haeng Rachan".

-"Rak Sadej Yiam Rajsadorn, Sansern Phra Baramee", a film about the King's activities, will be screened in 75 theฌatres nationwide tomorrow. It will also be shown in the Royal Plaza at Dusit Palace from 5 to 10pm daily until Thursday.

-The Interior Ministry will screen seven short films after the candle lighting ceremony tomorrow night at 7 at all provincial halls. In Bangkok, the screening will be held at Thammasat University's Liberal Arts Faculty.
