Fancied a change today so we ate at the Dusit Thani Hotel for their Sunday buffet which was 700bt p/p.
Drinks expensive so stuck to free water, but food was good, and deserts excellent. In all managed to stuff down a meagre 7 courses, including complementary coffee, before waddling back to the car.
Thinking of trying somewhere new next time, so can anyone recommend another good walk in hotel for a Sunday buffet.
Cheers.
Best hotel buffet ??
Re: Best hotel buffet ??
Yeah, the buffet offers are usually OK, just have to make sure you are famished and ready to 'pig-out' when you go.
They (especially hotels) do try to shaft people on the drink prices though, so 'yes', stick to water or soft pop etc if you want the bargain.

I haven't been myself because of the price but I've heard several good first hand reviews and one not so good one about the Hyatt's Sunday buffet in Takiab. They have everything but I guess seafood is the specialty. It 1000 baht per person which includes a half bottle of champagne or 700 (or 800) if you don't want the champagne.
I think reservations are a must according to the person who gave me the not so good review. They were pretty snooty with him because he just showed up without one.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I like the breakfast at the sheriton, have everything, not cheap at 800 baht. But its really good, and they make fresh omellets and the like.
Re: Best hotel buffet ??
Anantara Hotel has good a breakfast buffet to try. I think 790 Baht and has everything you can think of, including a carvery of pork, beef and sometimes turkey. I don't know how they cook their bacon but it's perhaps the best I've ever experienced. Atmosphere is nice also as you can sit in the open air garden. We've only done it on weekend mornings so don't know if weekdays are so extensive concerning food selection. Probably yes during high season. Skipping lunch after one of these is not a problem.
