Where’s the Starbuck’s? I know of a similar coffee shop just past the Hilton, is this the one?

There are many Thai coffee shops are springing up around Hua Hin. They vary from the streetside wooden stalls at 15 or 20 baht per cup (avoid the cheaper wons who just sell Birdy and Nescafe) to the up market joint on the corner of Petchakasem and the Night market road which claims to sell Chiang Mai Coffee. I have never been there but it looks from the outside like an expensive clone of the dreaded Starbucks.

I avoid these chain outlets as I wish to pay for coffee and service rather than expensive decor. The biggest rip off I have found in Hua Hin was at a little outlet in the Tesco Market Village that charged my 50 baht for a half cup in a paper cup while I waited for the missus to finish shopping.

Soya

Anyone know where you can get a coffee with soya? They used to do it opposite the opticians at the coffee shop there, naretdamri road, attached to the hilton I think but stopped it saying it was just a promotion.
