Now that the Nationwide has pulled up the drawbridge, I'm wondering what is currently the cheapest way to get cash..
- how do debit cards compare now with traveller's cheques? The T-Cheque people want a fee of 1.5% for issuing them in the UK, and IIRC the exchange rate for cheques is not as good in the money booths as it is for a debit transaction..
..setting aside the 150THB fee that most (but not all) ATMs levy, what is cheaper now for a £200/10,000THB (I wish..) wallet re-load - Barclays Debit card or Amex T-cheque??

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...
Re: Cheapest way to get drinking vouchers..?
From 1/1/11 Norwich and Peterborough BS offer the O% deal that Nationwide used to do providing you pay in a certain amount each month ( £500 from memory ). Goodbye Nationwide!!
Re: Cheapest way to get drinking vouchers..?
The safety of your money should also be considered?
Nationwide has a very strong balance sheet - does Norwich ?

Courage is grace under pressure and when circumstances change you change your mind.

I believe there is a £50k government backed guarentee that a BS would qualify for, enough to make the deal very attractive!
