Let's see where Beneitez goes next and lets see what he does to the club. Unfortunately I don't think we will be able to examine this as, apart from a handful of Liverpool fans, I don't see anyone wanting the guy. The guy has gone well past his sell by date, completely lost the plot with regards to management.
Look, if you don't fully understand the circumstances he had to put up with at Liverpool then how can you comment?
He could also rarely field his better players when he was managing Inter, plus Moratti is famously a total asshole.
A handful of Liverpool fans? Follow the Liverpool forums closely do you?
We've seen quite a few decent managers at Liverpool, Benitez is the best we've had for 20 years.
I would rather have old maclaren back instead of benetiz. The guy, as I have said, no longer recieves respect from inside the dressing room son can no longer manage. Simple
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!
Of course they are mate, and Elmander and Carrol are better players than Torres and Van Persie.
This is a bit like me discussing the virtues of alternative medicine with Mr Plum, it's pointless as it's something I know nothing about.
I tend to keep schtum as he'd make me look an idiot.
You're are blatantly on a wind up so I've said my piece.
Great. I have a lot of respect for the new owners and their track record elsewhere. I was waiting to see how long it would take for them to get some sharp teeth, and it appears to be happening. These are fanatic "can do" mentality guys. Failure or second best won't be in their vocabulary. Pete

Agree that NESV/FSG need to show their teeth, they all come across well from what I've seen, especially Henry.
Still think they'll dilly dally for a few weeks longer though.
Who's the right man? Two are liiving on the Wirral.
As long as Hodgson gets his ass kicked out of Anfield ASAP I'll be happy.
I thought United were very lucky last night.West Brom missed a penalty and should have had another in the first half when Gary Neville brought down one of their attackers.
Neville has been a great servant for United but he's 36 and his career has really been over for a couple of years, mainly due to injuries.
Its sad to see him now.His legs have gone.Let him retire gracefully,Sir Alex.
Rooney scored after a couple of minutes but didnt contribute too much more and Berbatov was in one of his lazy sulky moods.Obertan started well but looked knackered by half time and although Carrick and Anderson were on the teamsheet,I cant remember them featuring.
But United looking good to win the title.I dont know how because they have been shite for most of the season and this is the worst United side I have seen in over 10 years.....maybe says something about the current standard of the Premiership ?
But happy to see Liverpool come from behind to beat Bolton as it means "our Woy" will stay in charge for the FA Cup tie at Old Trafford next Sunday.
If either Dalglish or Benitez would have been at the helm I would have fancied Liverpool to win but cant see it now, although Torres looked much better last night and United might not play there strongest side.
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,
I used to suck fat cigars but now I suck Polo mints.

Not at it's strongest is it? The league and United.
La Liga seems to have overtaken us rapidly, within the space of 2 years.

Wouldn't think we'd win but I'd be a damn sight happier.
Pains me to say it but I do think you'll go on to win 19. Will be the worst United side to win the league though.

have to agree.
still think any one of 4/5 teams can win it.
as for the fa cup, will fergie play his 1st 11? (probably not) in which case, it could well go pear shaped

take out barca & real & it's a pretty poor league too

Dunno mate, I rate Valencia and Athletico. I think the tables have turned.
is that a partisan benitez/torres link?
both are decent sides but currently lay 4th & 6th in la liga, miles off the pace, so the tables have hardly turned so to speak.
& atletico didn't even manage to get through their pretty easy europa league group
la liga is fast becoming on par with the scottish prem, the title only really being contested by the same 2 teams each year
ps the chelsk v villa game was quite entertaining . . .what?

Yup the Chelsea / Villa game was entertaining, of a type!
The players are working hard to correct the damage of Wilkins removal, sometimes too hard and they need to chill out a bit. We need back up that counts and its now evident that letting Ballack et al go last season was a mistake.
Will we buy in the window? I hope so. Its evident Sturridge isn't going to make it and Kalou is infuriating. Although a nice return to form today, following injury for Boswinga at left back bodes well. And with Lamps getting back to his best, who knows what will happen? Certainly our attacking options are improving.
I can't see us catching United unless their luck really does run out, but I'm confident we will finish in the top 4.

to rivals & neutrals alike
i wouldn't be so quick to write off your title chances just yet though.
there are a lot of points to be played for & there is no one team looking likely to run away with it
no team has really been consistent enough, except for manure that is, who have consistently been getting away with it
