Isaan Begging girl

Post by kendo »

Yesterday i was sat outside Jings chating away to this nice couple and this Isaan girl walked past not a care in the world nothing wrong with her, but i have been warned she will drop down to your feet in a squating position and wont leave.

Myself and my wife where sat chatting to JW, in she came with a plastic bag dropped to her feet and did not want to go empty handed, i told her no and my wife gave her a ticking off, eventually she left.

Kendo.

have seen this girl around town a lot. ignore her and she soon goes away. there appears to be nothing wrong with her to prevent her from working so better if you want to give, give to somebody who cannot get work because of a disability.

Might not even have been from Isaan Kendo, lots of Cambodians/Burmese etc get up to this too, especially in the cities. They would, however, probably never admit to being from anywhere else other than here though and I doubt she'd have an ID card either.

I saw her when I was at Jings as well in Oct. Same thing happened. Jing did give her some food at that time.

From what I've seen of Burmese people employed in Thailand they are only to proud to say where they are from - and hugely descriminated against by Thailand. Allowed to legally work but not allowed to hold a driving licence in the LOS or to buy a house. These people are often - IMO - better workers than Thais and are treated like underdogs. Of course they won't have Thai ID cards - they are slave labour there.

She's not the same girl that trawled the bar-Sois a Yr or so back, always had an umbrella with her and stood outside each bar with plastic mug outsretched and 'puppy-eyes'..?? She had a fat wallet in her back pocket, you could not see it cos of loose top she wore, but was often seen coming out of the 7/11 on Binta with half bottle of Sangsom..bit sad in many respects..wiley/clever in others..??
