The only airlines I've booked with direct are:
- Easy Jet to Scotland and Italy.
- BA to Thailand.
- Finnair to Japan.
The Italy and Japan trips were for my son only. Still, there was no need for more than production of a passport.

Re: E-Tickets
Nok air I think is owned by Thai Airways you can pay for your flights in a seven eleven and the cash register receipt acts as your e- ticket.

Re: E-Tickets
Here's what was stated on the email booking confirmation :Khundon1975 wrote: My wife flew via Etihad (booked with West East travel) to BKK a couple of days ago on an E-Ticket and did not have to produce any card at LHR check in. We used a Visa Debit card not a Credit card to pay for the ticket, as we do for all ticket purchases. However this is the first time we have used Etihad to fly to Thailand.
Now I'm a bit concerned, as she did not take her card with her so won't be able to produce it for return flight in a few months time at BKK check in!
We have flown on dozens of occasions to many destinations over the last few years, all on E-Tickets, but have never been asked to produce any ID other than a passport?
Do these rules just apply to tickets purchased with a Credit card or does it apply to all types of card used to purchase a ticket online.
Anyone got any ideas?
Guests are kindly reminded to present the credit card used for booking at the check-in counter for verification purposes.
Alternatively, a clear photocopy of both sides of the credit card used for this transaction may be acceptable, provided it is duly signed by the cardholder authorizing the use of the card for the purchase of the ticket.
For security reasons, we request you to strike out the Card Verification Value (CVV) code of the card on the photocopy.
If for any reason the credit card used for the purchase, or a duly signed copy thereof, cannot be produced, you may be required to purchase a new ticket at the airport.
Etihad Airways reserves the right to refuse carriage to all persons booked with this credit card if the card originally used for the purchase or a duly filled out photocopy thereof, cannot be presented at check in.
I have only come across it when purchasing tickets on-line direct fom the airline with a credit card.
If you booked through a ticketing agent and there's no mention of it on any of their emails or on the e-ticket itself then it should all be OK.
Airlines probably invoice ticket agents separately for ticket sales so your payment and any additional identity requirements would have been up to the agent to request.
It's the airline who request the additional verification to prevent the risk of a fraudulent transaction when tickets have been bought on-line.

Re: E-Tickets
Thanks for that chopsticks,
makes it a bit clearer, mind you, my wife would just use it as an excuse to stay in Thailand for a year or so.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
