Is that legal to walk around Hua Hin with your dongle out, trying to get a good reception in the bars!Big Boy wrote:How did your dongle dangle? Did you get it sorted OK? Good reception?BaaBaa. wrote:going into town shortly to buy a dongle.
That's Thailand for you.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

Worked great mate, not noticeably different from UK for forums, I even managed to watch the Dalglish press conferences on youtube, just had to leave it paused for a minute before watching.Big Boy wrote:OK, let us know how you get on.
Pics as promised.
Re: Lounge Pass
Plus the Champagne arrival on my complimentary upgrade, first time I've ever flown with Qatar too!

Re: Lounge Pass
Thanks BaaBaa., it's always nice to get an upgrade
The lounge looks like most lounges that I've been in before. Certainly a lot better than hanging around with the other plebs waiting for the connecting flight
Not too expensive if you're travelling alone either.

It's probably better than both in Dubai, the old one (which is now for Silver) is getting a bit shabby and the Business one in the new Terminal is just too big and open for my liking.Big Boy wrote:Thanks BaaBaa., it's always nice to get an upgrade![]()

I've had an upgrade at least once per return trip for about my last 5 flights with Emirates as a silver member but it was a nice surprise as a first time flier with Qatar. It was possibly because I was one of the only people flying alone, but I did change seats with a girl so her and a friend could sit together, she said she was Qatar staff using one of her complimentary flights, maybe she put a good word in.

Or maybe I just look kind of a big deal!

Re: Lounge Pass
Not that I'm disputing that your a big deal, but when I used to fly often to Honduras I, too, was upgraded a lot. I asked, and as you mentioned, it was because I was a single flier and a elite member on the frequent flier.BaaBaa. wrote: I've had an upgrade at least once per return trip for about my last 5 flights with Emirates as a silver member but it was a nice surprise as a first time flier with Qatar. But wait.... maybe I was a big deal too!!

I was happy to take it for whatever reason!!
Sure makes travel more comfortable, especially since I'm not a small guy!
