It has real time stats on many things. Directly on the first page I was struck by the fact that the world birth rate is more than double the death rate... this can't bode well for an already overpopulated planet.
Others of note:
While none should, "People who died of hunger today" is much lower than I thought it would be.
"People who have no access to safe drinking water" is much higher than I thought it would be.
Approximately 45 years until the end of the world oil supply and not much longer for gas and coal...
Abortion seems to be (by far) the leading cause of death...
