Alas, gone are the days when the indigenous population would pose for the tourists' cameras for glass pearls and/or would perform their ritual dances and ceremonies for a few trinkets. Bargain as one might an ax blade or hoe of best Sheffield steel no longer suffices. While your metal might be nearly worthless the aborgines gladly accept your plastic.
I thought we were talking about Hua Hin not some feckin tribe in the Jungle

You took a day less than three months to have a pop..

Starting to realise why you think drilling a few holes is something we need to learn from you. You're a bit slow aren't you?

Cut the cheap shots and continue more with your pathetic... 'How to fit something the cheapest way' or 'How to smash the cheapest helmets' or 'How crap the cheapest massage was?'

Hilarious how you put a little BB gun in your 'Gun Safe' along with a little 'wad' of cash (after you just said how you tried to get the cheapest safe possible for a little bit cheaper) which was probably ALL your cash...

Funny stuff. Keep up man.... I mean three months

When you see a user message from someone you wish to ignore, you select 'profile', then [add foe] and complete the operation. They are then added to your 'ignore' list.

It's a useful feature. The path of least resistance with any poster is to ignore them. They then lose interest. At least that's the theory. :?

Members posts don't disappear completely. You can see they have posted and have the option to open up their messages to see if they have started to behave themselves again. Or they may be posting in a non-controversial topic such as where to buy bicycle clips.

Oh, near the end it says he's only kidding, and it goes on about what a great guy you are. You should have finished it off.

The 'ignore' facility is much needed over here, because we're so isolated. If we were back home we'd have our Mum's following us round putting their nice soft hands over our eyes whenever anything horrid is around.

MrP's is a special edition model, custom made in Ireland... he replies only to people on his 'ignore' list

I think one of the common pitfalls of seeing a town develop is that we, as expats, - and I include myself in this - want to see and experience a country in a picture book mode. I think that by doing so we try to deny the locals the right to develop with Western experiences and all its trappings.
Promotion of tourism will always show show a 'staged authenticity' view of Thailand which does not match reality

If I were to use the ignore button, I'd need to know that I'd never be aware of the person posting - if I knew there was a new post, but not what was in it, I think I'd have to peek... :tsk:
This is the way
