BBK would probably be cheaper than HH, depends upon how many you want I guess, but my experiences with the copy Rolex/Omega etc watches is that it's OK that they are kinetic but they use that crappy metal that turns your skin green when it sweats and the metal rusts. Well, in a hot and humid climate it does, maybe if you are intending on wisking them away to a cool climate, so to speak, then might be OK, but having them here is a waste of money as they don't last long enough imo.

Think last time I bought one in BBK it was 1500 baht, but that was about 4 years ago. What the exact current score is I'm not sure, just thought I'd throw in my 2 bahts worth.

It depends what you mean by any good.
Do they look like a Rolex - yes from a few yards away
Do they last a long time - no
Are they made of decent parts - no, inside they are the same cheap parts as all the other 500 baht watches,
Will they fool anyone - no
I guess they are ok if you want to pretend you've got a Rolex but the workings and the casings are cheap crap.

I bought a false Rolex about 8 years ago for 400b, it was fine but after about 4 years the strap went and I had to get it replaced, another 100b and wouldn't you know it about 2 years later it quit and i had to buy a new one.

So just beware it could cost you as much as 100baht a year!!!!!!

I would never buy anything from anyone patrolling the bars or the beach. Same watches that these Rolex Patrols demand 1 500 - 3 000 THB/watch can be bought at Market Village 200 - 800 THB.
Same matter with sunglasses; patroller 900 THB, Tesco at MV 199 THB.

Farang is right -avoid the touts. I wouldn't pay 2 to 3 thousand baht for any watch to be honest. Not going to be waterproof and the straps don't last. But for up to 500 they can be fine and can keep going for longer than the case/strap lasts.
Personally I prefer to stock up on non-fake but cheap fun watches at about 150/200 baht each, but thats a girly thing. I do have a fake Deisel though bought in the HH Shopping Mall over 2 years ago for about 250 which is still going strong.

They are the crap copies, Soviet-tech Rolexes that weigh 1kg. but will bulk up your bicep.
Go to Chatuchak or Pratunam (newer building with a/c).
My wife has a 5-yr old $32 "Cartier" that fooled the local jeweler and a
2-yr old $28 "Armani". Neither has given any problems and they weigh well under a kilo.

I hope somebody buys copy watches off that guy who trawls the bars because he's been trying to sell me one for eight years now and I'm beginning to feel sorry for him.

Many tourists ask me about the quality of the watches the street-sellers offer.
I tell them every watch is crap, but looks pretty..up-to-you.
I also advise them when the seller asks for 1500-3000B for an item..offer them 300 baht,
Yes they'll make a dramatic hoo-haa, and storm off..but they always come back for that sale!

In my early days visiting Thailand I bought two or three of them (Rolex) and none lasted more that a few months.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

You will need to head up to somewhere like the Indra hotel in Bangkok where the stall sellers have extensive full colour catalogues of all the fake brands including the better quality stuff. They will get whatever you want motor-biked in while you wait around.Heard that some folks have shelled out over 6,000 baht for the top of the range dodgey Rolex Oysters with the very reliable Swiss ETA twenty-eight hundred series mechanical automatic movements fitted. You would expect to shell out at least three times that sum for a basic name brand for that sort of cash. The casings and bands are made ok too and they are so well replicated that you can interchange casing parts with the authentic ones altho I have had problems with replacing the band screws on the knock-offs (threads are a bit larger).Having said that an experienced person can pick a fake as the overall finish of the casing is a give away.
Beware the fake Breitling chronos are a different story with low quality Chinese movements fitted.Have n't seen a good one of these yet.
