Hi Cass and welcome.
January this year I think they where charging 40 baht to Koh Takiab on the orange and green baht buses that you get by the night Market
It cost 20 baht to the Sport villa and that's about half way, avoid useing these when the schools are kicking out.

I would say it would take an hour and a half to walk back, exercise extream caution because of broken paving slabs a holes for example take a look at the size of the hole outside the Pizza company it's a real leg breaker or a small child could fit down it.

I pay 10 Baht from Sa Song Road (Night Market start point) to Koh Takieb bus terminal (Police Box) on the green baht bus (Songthaew) 15 baht at night. Quicker to walk along the beach providing the sea is not up to the wall.

Yep, only ever payed 10 baht to go anywhere on the songthaew, the Orange buses are 20 baht from Takiab (over the flyover) to Town.
