I forgot her feeding me by hand. And the BEST one - picking all the meat out of crabs for me. I lived in Seattle for many years and 'crab' for me is Dungeness crab or Alaskan snow crab. I love crab but just can't be arsed trying to pick through these tiny Thai crabs for an occasional scrap of meat, especially after a few beers. When the family is here and crab is on the menu, mine gets delivered in a bowl - all meat, no shell!
The feeding me by hand worries me a bit, though. I once adopted a four kilo (fully grown) dog that turned out to be crazy. A couple of friends were animal behavior professors at UW, and when I brought up the problem, one suggested that the first thing I should do was to feed the dog by hand only. Within 3 - 4 weeks, I had a docile dog that would do tricks for his food. "Eating out of her hand" indeed...
Re Sarge, yeah, he's a lot different. A LOT different. I don't think his basic philosophies have changed except maybe that he knows the only addictions he can fix are his own, and he can't change anyone if he just yells louder. But he is no longer angry and frustrated and looks at the future in a very positive way.
But, to whoever taught him to change fonts, sizes and colors:
