Well, 0-1 it remained, a definite last minute penalty call denied against Ramires (maybe Torres?), you don't get those against the Mancs, who were happy to sit back for the last 45 and defend. But we are more than capable of going up to the grim north and getting a result. As Ferguson and the Manure players know.

As long as we play our best team.

Ancelotti, please take note.

Aye, but we're better than that. Fergie got the break he was after via Giggs and Rooney. It also demonstrates the fine line at this level. Bosingwa has recovered well from a serious injury, but to play at this level? Not so sure? Ivanovic would normally be at right back.

Well, Ferdinand Rio, of that clan (I've played against a couple, but its a London thing), kind of agreed it should have been a penalty. Replays prove it beyond doubt.

I just hope Drogba stays at this stage. He is awesome.

As a neutral, I fully agree. However, I'm sure there will be a few Manure fans on later who will disagree.

I shouldn't think so, as the Great Man himself seems to have acknowledged it should have been a penalty:
... Alex Ferguson felt no guilt when the referee failed to award Chelsea a penalty, saying this team had waited years to "get a decision" at Stamford Bridge.
The man has a certain.. erm... 'neck', shall we say?

Definate penalty on Ramires, no need for action replays, it was that obvious.

Question is, are those extra assistants behind the goal allowed to get involved or are they there just for show? :?
In this case, he had a completely unobstructed view & was looking straight at the incident, yet failed to react?

Possibly a penalty for Evra's challenge on Ramires but certainly not a penalty on the diving Ladyboy Torres !
Incidentally,in the league match against United at Stamford Bridge a few weeks ago werent Chelsea awarded a disputed penalty by that comedian referee Rowan Atkinson ??
But nobody seems to have mentioned Van Der Sar.....some great saves....what a shame he is retiring at the end of the season.
Very surprised Ancellotti took off Drogba who was Chelseas main threat and has a good record against Manchester United.
And did anyone wonder when Vidic was booked in the 70th minute wether or not he would be red carded for the 5th time whilst playing against Torres....possibly the main reason Ancellotti kept Torres on instead of Drogba !
But still all to play for.United cannot afford to sit back and surely must go out to extend their advantage.

It's definately advantage manure, but chelsk are by no means out of it, in fact i wouldn't be surprised at all if they turn it around at OT :|

Isn't it ridiculous that a few of you are moaning about the penalty decision???. Sure it was a stonewaller but the ref didn't give it!!! A few weeks ago Ferguson came out and whinged about refs and everyone got on the band wagon and slated him for it. Now the decision has gone in Man Utd's favour and surprise surprise, yes Ferguson and Man Utd are getting stick again. You can't have it both ways!!!!!!

Well I actually said that we're better than having to rely on a penalty, but nice to see everyone is in agreement it was.

The extra Lino's do not make decisions other than ball in/out as far as I know? A complete waste of time.

Was that before or after he went away sulking & refused to do press conferences?

Does it really matter???
Seems to me he's damned if he does and damned if he dosen't. You can nit pick about him not doing press interviews and the like because you've got nothing else to pick on.
When he moaned about refs,he was right. Completely sub standard reffing in a multi million pound business.
Last night proved that. All of a sudden he's on the good end of a dogsh**e decision and he's still wrong????

You can't make this shit up, it's comedy gold!

Exhibit A: A chipped ball into the arm of a West Ham player = A pen for Manchester United.

Exhibit B: A player scythed down in a goal scoring opportunity = Wave play on.

Ferguson can bitch all he wants, the guy has won trophys on dodgy decisions.

You're not wrong, it won't change until Ginsoak retires!

Pretty touchy post and contains some bollox with respect. His pathetic ban on talking to the beeb is cos' they did a report on his son he didn't like. Well tough shitty, he has no more right to protect his son's dubious activities from scrutiny than MP's do, and look where some of those are ending up. And his constant attacks on referees, which most view as cynical, perhaps is for a reason, culminating in the 'result' he got last night. He should be above all that, should be setting an example - he's not God for Christ's sake!

He's a great manager and certainly doesn't need you protecting him. His saving grace for me has nowt to do with football, but art. Work that one out.
