Shooting range

Post by dotx »

I know there's a shooting range (maybe two?) just outside Hua Hin. I think on the way to the airport but I'm not sure. I've been trying to figure out how to get there, but no luck so far. Can anybody point the address on a map or give me a better idea of how to get there if (let's say) I take Petchkasem Road.

According to a Thai aviation site, it did for 25 years from 1969 to 1994.

There is also another shooting range up in the hills above Borfai. It's hard to find but if you can manage to find the correct road over the canal there are small signs (with a target on them) to follow after that.

Here it is. As a hint, in search top box type in the subject, in this case 'shooting range'. In the second box (author) type in 'Kendo'. Pete

Been there a few times.

Expensive things to shoot and they don't allow airsoft guns (funnily enough).

Try the Army camp up at pranburi, called Kai Tannarat,Nice long range (unlike the others ). and if you know yer way around a gun you get left alone to shoot.
Turn right into it at the first set of lights after the Fly-over (if coming from Hua Hin).
Go to the end of the road and take the third turn off the roundabout follow that road for about 700m and it forks, Take the right hand fork and you'll see the range office on the left just after the CQB range.
Is a better range in my opinion especially if you want to shoot anything other than pistols.
You may do it faster! But I do it better!

What else do they have available and what's the cost like?

I'll find out for you on the next visit as I take our own guns up there to shoot and they only charge me 50baht to use the range.
