Travel FROM Swampy Airport to Hua Hin

Post by Dr Mike »

I found a good thread about options on traveling TO the airport, but not one FROM the airport.

If I do not wish to go to BKK to meet friends, what are their options in getting to Hua Hin??

A Taxi from HH for me, 2k.

I personally don't like messing about after a long flight, for the budget minded you can get the 180 baht mini bus ride from hell from Victory monument. Bearing in mind you need to pay a Taxi into BKK and time wise, Taxi straight to HH every time for me.

I can give you a number, reliable, decent motor, though their English aint the best.

As with BaaBaa, after a long flight in cattle class, I tend to book a limo. I'm a bit larger than the average person, and think the additional luxury to be well worth the 2,600Baht (cheaper if you book a return trip). I can also provide reliable contact details together with a web site by PM if required.

Alternatively, you could look here http://www.huahinafterdark.com/hua-hin-taxi.htm .

Not necessary to taxi into BKK to get the minivan at Victory Monument. The airport rapid transit line takes you from the airport to Phaya Tai skytrain station which is one stop from VM station.

What the department says on its website and reality--not necessarily related.
i have the annual one but each time I go to the airport I look at the area where it should operate and it is always closed. Anybody traveling. take a look and report to the forum.

I have copied the above reply to the Re-entry stamp thread for Dr Mike as it makes more sense there.
