Bus rental ?

Post by aussie fella »

Hi Folks
Hopefully posting in the right section.. Eight aussies coming to mountain beach resort in October,
12 days of lots of golf, eating & drinking. Is there a large bus or similar that can be hired for Bangkok airport to Khao Kalok. Was informed with 8 ppl & golf clubs, baggage ect would need 2 mini buses?
At around 6000 Baht, would like a 14 seater or larger to accommodate all in 1 trip.
Or am i penny pinching or would it be ok to split our luggage & clubs into second van?
Finding it hard to find bus rentals or similar...Devide costs by 8 then not very costly, however all our luggage & clubs disappearing into the night could be. Any help or info on bus hire, mountain beach resort, Khao Kalok & local bars ect would be greatly appreciated..
Kind Regards

It's not one that I've come across before. I would suggest contacting one of the many tour companies. I'm sure they'll help you out.

Hi aussie fella,

Why are you going to Khao Kalok?

You are a long way from the good golf courses and there is little or no night life there.

If you Google 'thailand bus charter' there are some companies listed there who have full size buses. Wouldn't hurt to email a few to understand costs etc. Pete

Most of the commercial minivans are the same Toyota model. It might be possible to put everything in one van but the luggage and golf bags would be piled so high that in a front end collision the amount of heavy stuff flying forward at 120kpm and aimed at the back of your heads would be something out of a nightmare.

Split the people and the luggage between both vans so somebody always has eyes on your stuff.

Hi all thanks for the replys,
Uncle- just been searching around & our group grew to 8 ppl so mountain resort will accommodate us all. Were looking closer to town but hard to find for large group. Believe most golf courses are within a hours drive from the resort? Nightlife maybe a problem, as few younger guys with us who will no doubt want to enjoy thailand to its fullest-)

Thanks Pete will check around
Barry thanks to you & email coming
Homer, think that is the option to take. Will try to keep everyone together if i can.
